Duck avoid fishes
During my first semester at AHO, we had module on creative coding. This small project was one of the projects done during that module. It was not the main project, but I ended up enjoing this project a lot afterwards, even if there are still a few problems with the code.
The project is a fork of Nan Yang's project called Fish. In the original project you get moving koi fish that you can attract, add or remove. In my project I've added a rubber duck, which follows your mouse. If the rubber duck touches one of the fishes you get a "game over", and you need to press "q" to restart. There was supposed to be a game over screen, which somehow only appear when you press the space bar. This is something I might come back to and fix in the future, but you're welcome to fork the project on openprocessing and do your own spin on it if you want. Actually I recommend checking out OpenProcessing in general! So much fun code to look at
How to play the game
- Preferably use a joy-con controller or similar, use a stick controller, and have a high input sensitivity for more fun and chaos! This isn't a requirement and you can play this with any mouse or touchpad, but using a joy-con increases dificulty
- Press the spacebar to fullscreen the game
- After the game freezes (game over) press q to restart
- play again and see how long you can survive!
